Here\u2019s the wildcard race, and how I think it\u2019s going to go:<\/p>\n
St. Louis will probably win the NL Central. They have 6 games to go, 3 of which are against the Cubs. If this past weekend is any indication, the Cub games are wins for the Cards, which will put them at least at 92-70.<\/p>\n
Milwaukee could win the division, but probably won\u2019t, because they\u2019ll have to win all 6 of their remaining games to have a chance. I think they\u2019ll win 4 or 5, which puts them at 90-72 or 91-71, which will give them a wildcard berth.<\/p>\n
Washington has 8 games to go, 5 against Philadelphia and 3 against Cleveland. They\u2019ll probably win at least half of those games, which gives them the other wildcard.<\/p>\n
The Cubs and Arizona, the other two teams that have any chance, will have to win all 6 of their remaining games to go anywhere. In the case of the Cubs, there\u2019s no way the Cards are going to lose 3 in St. Louis.<\/p>\n
